In recent weeks, a new trend of “look-alike” competitions for celebrities has been popping up all over the country. One Cornell staff member, Jacob Kerrigan ’02, decided to join in on the fun, putting a personal twist on the fun new tradition.
The poster, unfortunately, features a somewhat blurry photo of the subject of the look-alike contest, Kerrigan’s ex-wife Linda. It appears to be a distant candid shot of a woman hurriedly hauling a suitcase into a running car. Luckily, the photo is accompanied by a helpful description for potential contestants; “Eyes: kind, warm, the only one capable of truly seeing me. Hair: The color of sunshine, dreams, and the decadent chocolate. Face: heart-shaped. My heart. Which she took with her when she left.”
While these competitions typically offer a monetary reward, the reward section for this poster simply states, “a beautiful life together with two lonely children.”
At press time, Kerrigan was spotted sobbing face down on the floor to Someone Like You by Adele.
