“You Know, Too Much Sleep Is Actually Bad For You,” Student Tells Person-Shaped Bush

UPPER COLLEGETOWN— As prelim season descends back over Ithaca after an all-too-short break, many students are feeling the aftereffects of completely forgetting about their coursework during their long weekend trip to New York City. Despite convincing themselves that they would work on the bus ride back, many still have unfinished assignments due frighteningly soon.

However, some of these students choose to stand around discussing factoids with animal, vegetable, and mineral passerby instead of actually working. One such student, Leighly Lee ‘28, started making small talk on Dryden Ave.

“Hi May! You look more leafy and green than usual,” she said in the middle of the sidewalk, rubbing at dark circles under her eyes. After allowing a conversation-sized pause to pass, she replied, “Well, I heard that sleeping too much can actually increase your risk for strokes, diabetes, and heart disease.” Coincidentally, a stroke was also what she sounded like she was having.

Lee then embraced a scraggly five-foot-tall bush before turning to continue on her way and tripping on the laces of her mismatched shoes. This did not shock bystanders, who were too tired to notice anything out of the ordinary.
