LIBE SLOPE—As of 3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on May 5, 2025, construction workers on West and Central Campus have declared a unilateral “Special Construction Operation” on Libe Slope.
Foreman Vladimir Smith gave an address to the construction workers at McGraw Clocktower, announcing his intentions to move infrastructure across the border of Libe Slope, in an escalation from a previous truce with Cornell University. He claimed, “It is necessary for us to expand construction as much as possible, lest graduating seniors obtain a photo of themselves without a hydraulic crane in the background.”
At 5:06 a.m, President Kotlikoff requested authorization from the University Assembly to formally declare a state of war. It is unclear how many students are expected to be enrolled in MILS 1101: Introduction to the Army, or whether Bowers CIS will side with Smith’s forces in an effort to maintain contracts for its next three buildings.
