Cornell Christian Club Turns Rain into Wine Tour

BURDETT, NY—Saturday’s fast-moving weather system threatened to disrupt the Cornell Christian Club’s end-of-semester wine tour. Fortunately, on the third day of reading period, a miracle occurred in the Catharine Valley.

“It was supposed to rain all day, but we already put down our deposit, so we kinda had to go,” recounted Cornell Christian Club President Jude Campbell ‘26. With faith in the club’s executive board waning, the Cornell Christians sought divine intervention. “We needed an act of God to make this social fun,” recalled CCC Social Chair Grace Lim ‘27.

The CCC disciples soon reaped the rewards of their 40-minute school bus journey to the vineyard. “The more it poured, the more our wine bottles filled,” said club member Sadie McIntosh ‘27. “And we had big ass straws, so that was awesome.”

Others chose to spread the Good News via Instagram story. Club member and student influencer Samuel Stevenson ‘28 noted that “[his] wine tour story overperformed in the likes department, which is basically a form of transubstantiation.”

Despite repeated prayers, the Cornell Christians were unable to prevent soggy, drunk seniors from throwing up throughout the bus ride home.
