GOLDWIN SMITH HALL—As the end of the school year nears, most clubs have begun to elect new executive boards to lead. However, future totalitarian Emma Wills ‘25 (?) has declined to answer whether she will seek a third term as President of Cornell Political Union.
As President of the political group for both the fall and spring semesters of her senior year, many assumed Wills would peacefully step down from power upon graduation, allowing another member to serve. However, Wills would not say whether or not she would allow such a transition to happen.
“A lot of people have asked me to run again,” she said with an evil grin, maniacally rubbing her hands together. “A lot of people think I’m doing a great job. I’m just really focused on that right now.”
When pressed about how she could possibly retain the role despite no longer being a student, Wills ambiguously replied: “There are ways of doing it.” When asked if failing her classes on purpose to delay her degree was a possibility, she said, “That’s one way. There are others.”
When asked whether she considered it her duty to uphold her club constitution, she replied, “I don’t know. I’m not— I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know.”
