Big Red Food Court Excited to Adjudicate First Culinary Case

COLLEGETOWN—A new gastro-judicial establishment is coming to Ithaca!

Justice Felix Frankfurter, co-founder of the Big Red Food Court, said he and partner Warren E. Burger are opening the food court to address a recent rash of culinary litigation. “Brown v. Cutting Board, Lawrence v. Tex-Mex, Miranda v. Arizona Iced Tea, and Worcestershire v. Georgia are all crucially important cases currently pending before other food courts across the nation,” Frankfurter said. “Hopefully, Justice Burger and I can take some of these cases off our colleagues’ plates.”

The new food court is set to open soon at the former Collegetown location of Ithaca Beer Co., and many local residents look forward to the change.

“I’m excited to see what they do with the place,” said Cornell Law student Bobby Miller. “Law school is great and all, but I just can’t wait until I can watch real oral arguments and sink my teeth into a case like Bakery v. Carr.”

The Federal Food Court for the Northern District of New York released a statement in support of the new establishment, hoping it can handle proceedings for Strawberry v. Madison and McDonald’s v. City of Chicago while the district court is occupied with Lemon v. Kurtzman.
