ARTES QUADRANGLE—Th’Cornell Renaissance Faire is underway, and its stewards hath invited to the festival a jester moste famous.

Mr Joust, perhaps best knowne for his exceedingly fair wife, is also a moste respected fool at the Manhattan court of Sir Lorne Michaels. O’er his career’s course, Mr Joust hath personated such renowned persons as Lord Mayor Peter of Indiana, and Grandmaster Roger of the Foot-baller’s Guild, much to the delight of Sir Lorne and ‘sguests.
Lord Michael Kotlikoff of Cornell did express his own pleasure to host this celebrated traveller. “Lo, Mr Joust’s visit humbles me exceedingly,” declared he. “I shall endeavour to afford our honour’d guest hospitality of the highest order. I merely hope that Mr Joust shan’t bring low in his ribaldry mine own personage!”
Mr Joust’ll perform a fool’s routine, dubbed “stand-up” by revellers, in the evening hours of the Lord’s Day of this week. Before the performance, Lord Michael hath bid the famed jester partake in varied celebrations at the Faire, including a feast at the court of Sir Okenshield.
At the time of printing, it be not known whether th’ entertainer doth intend to participate in his eponymous contest of the joust, or nay.
