Student’s Life Not as Put Together as iPad with Little Stylus Implies

COCKTAIL LOUNGE— While most students are struggling to keep up at this point in the semester, Kenzie Arnett ‘26 is managing the pressure of demanding academics with poise and grace. She has it all: a little white iPad with color coded notes, a color coded GCal, and a moodboard for her Punta Cana spring break trip as a Lock Screen.

“She also has ants,” adds Arnett’s roommate Georgie Daugherty ‘26, who claims Arnett has never washed her dishes, leading to increased yet uninvited biodiversity in their dorm room.

Reflecting on her hectic life, Arnett commented on the importance of taking time to stay organized. “That’s why I make calligraphy headers for all of my notes,” said Arnett, showing off how she can tap her stylus to change the font she writes in. “Not only does it look nice, but it really helps me remember the material.”

“Yeah, I’m sure the calligraphy counteracts how much peach Svedka she drinks on a weekly basis” comments Daugherty.

Cornell’s demanding academics can make it hard to maintain a healthy social life. Arnett advises her peers to “prioritize your friends as much as school. I can always find the time to go out because I stick to the schedule I set for myself.”

Arnett attributes her time management to her calendar, which features lots of little pastel boxes, indicating an event or obligation. Adds Daugherty, “she doesn’t even title the events. They’re just blocks of color. I’m actually not even confident she can read.”
