Money That Could Have Paid Off Student Loans Spent On Photography Hobby

BEEBE LAKE – Steadily accumulating a debt of over $100,000 over four years, Junior History major Landon Hearn has recently begun spending money that could pay off his mounting student loans on his new photography hobby.

“I got a new camera and a pretty cool tripod, so I’m probably gonna go out every weekend and take pictures around Ithaca,” said an excited debt-ridden Hearn, who will spend the next ten years of his life paying off the cost of his education while buying an expensive new lens every year or so to give his pictures the right look.

“I’m thinking about buying a subscription to Photoshop and Lightroom,” added the financially-crippled Andy Warhol wannabe, blissfully unaware that the annual fee for Adobe products is about equal to the annual interest on his unpaid principal amount.

At press time, Hearn had not even considered that he might pawn his large-sensor DSLR a few years down the road if he has to.
